Why is thread not trimming

Osman Bayrak

There can be several reasons why thread is not trimming in an embroidery project.

Some common causes include:

The thread is not properly tensioned: If the thread is too loose or too tight, it may not trim correctly. The scissors or blade being used to trim the thread is dull: A sharp pair of scissors or blade is necessary for clean, precise cuts.

The embroidery machine is not properly calibrated: The machine may need to be adjusted or serviced to ensure that it is cutting the thread correctly.

The thread is not being cut in the right location: The thread should be trimmed as close as possible to the fabric without cutting into the design.

The thread is not being cut in the right direction: The thread should be cut perpendicular to the fabric to avoid fraying. It would be best to check all the above possible causes and try to fix it accordingly. It's also possible that there could be an issue with the specific thread or embroidery design being used. In that case, it's best to consult the thread or design manufacturer for troubleshooting advice.
