DTF cleaning solutions are engineered for flushing and cleaning our your print head. They are safe to use for daily maintenance, usually at the end of the day.

The Importance of Cleaning your Print Head

Print heads can become clogged with dry ink residue, resulting in poor prints. This is why they should be cleaned regularly. Things to watch out for that means the print head may be clogged are:

  • Blurry prints
  • Degraded or faded colors, usually with stripes across the results
  • Blank pages coming out, even if you have a sufficient amount of ink

Regular maintenance helps you save ink and extend the lifetime of internal components. Moreover, it reduces the cleaning frequency and need to perform nozzle checks. Always keep your print head in optimum condition to avoid having to replace it prematurely.

How to use DTF Cleaning Solution

Be sure to use suitable products. If you're using an Epson print head, for example, make sure the product is compatible with the print head. For cartridge-based printers, you can fill the cartridges with the solution and use them as cleaning cartridges for up to three cycles.

Use a capping station solution for a wet cap to optimize print heads. Ensure the electrical components don't get wet while cleaning.

The amount of cleaning solution to use on your DTF printers depends on the severity of the clogging. However, 2-3 ml for every color nozzle is usually enough.
