Understanding Print Vibrancy and Media Types
Did you know that the vibrancy of your prints can vary based on the type of media you use? When using the exact same settings, including temperature and white toner amount, you'll notice a difference in color intensity between different media types.
Some media, known as "high opacity media," deliver vibrant colors on dark shirts. Examples include 2 Step Premium and iColor 2 Step Ultrabright. You can even achieve excellent vibrancy with the "good old 2 Step Standard," as demonstrated in the left-side example.
Conversely, "low opacity media" produce relatively less vibrant colors on dark shirts. Examples of such media include EZ Peel, 2 Step Select, and ProPeel, as seen in the right-side image. Despite their lower opacity, these thinner media options are still ideal for light to medium-colored shirts.
Understanding the characteristics of different media types is crucial for achieving the desired print results. Experiment with various options to find the perfect match for your printing needs.
